If you have a submersible pump for yard irrigation, remember to drain the water from the pump as it will be exposed to winter temperatures during the drawdown. Avoid having a freeze ruin your pump. Disconnect the pump and allow water to run out through any check valve. Empty the intake pipe and any PVC leading to the pump.
