During drawdown, if you have a submersible or above water pump for yard irrigation, remember to drain the water from the pump as it will be exposed to winter temperatures during the drawdown.  Disconnect the pump and allow water to run out through  the pump drain plug or check valve. 

Also remember to empty any water in lake intake PVC pipe (the intake pipe nozzle usually has a check valve), as well as any PVC leading to the pump.

Avoid having a freeze ruin your pump and/or your intake pipe.
